Our Process

Learn about our CBD extracts from soil to shelf.

What We Do

Our Whole Plant Infusion process extracts CBD directly from Hemp flowers grown right here in the USA. Unlike other CBD oils, we’re not into solvents or harsh chemicals like butane or CO2. Instead, we add hemp to a base oil (MCT) to prepare it for infusion. Then we add a little heat, pressure, and water. The result is a full-spectrum oil that is 100% pure and and our favorite way to find Releaf.

Fresh-Pressed Rosin

Your juice isn’t the only thing that’s fresh-pressed. Our Fresh-Pressed Rosin is the plant-powered secret behind our Releaf Repair Cream and Body Lotion.

Our Whole Plant Process

Here’s the gist: we start with our USA-grown hemp flowers and MCT oil, add a little heat, water, pressure, and time to give you a high-quality, full-spectrum CBD oil rich in beneficial terpenes and phytonutrients. Fear not, unlike other CBD oils, we wouldn’t dare touch harsh chemicals like butane or CO2 to extract cannabinoids.

  1. Step 1: Cannabis

It all starts with our cannabis plants sourced from farmers using organic principles.

  2. P&B Test #1:

The organic cannabis is tested for cannabinoid and terpene content, pesticides, and heavy metals, confirming the quality of the hemp flowers before infusion begins.

  3. Step 2: Soak

Then comes our proprietary lipid infusion process with heat, pressure, water, & time.

  4. Step 3: Press

Once infused, oil is pressed & oil filtered away from the plant.

  5. P&B Test #2:

Infused oil is tested a second time for quality assurance on cannabinoid and terpene profile.

  6. Step 4: Blending

Infused oil is mixed with beeswax and an essential oil blend.

  7. P&B Test #3:

The blended content is tested for a third time to ensure final consistency.

  8. Step 5: Filling

Bottles are filled with our high-quality blended content.

  9. Certificate of Analysis:

Last, but not least, our finished product is confirmed clean, potent, and ready to help you reach peak wellness.

Fresh-Pressed Rosin Process

This process involves pressing cannabis between two heated metal plates to produce the all-natural extract; a concentrated oil similar to tree sap.

No ethanol, just chlorophyll, beneficial phytonutrients, & natural plant matter!

  1. Step 1: Cannabis

    Premium cannabis input.

  2. P&B Test #1:

Cannabis input is tested for cannabinoid profile, pesticides, microbials, heavy metals and mycotoxins.

  3. Step 2: Tumble

Cannabis trim is gently tumbled, separating trichomes from the plant.

  4. Step 3: Press

Trichomes are pressed under specific pressure and time creating a terpene and cannabinoid-rich rosin.

  5. P&B Test #2:

Rosin is tested for quality assurance: cannabinoid profile, pesticides, microbials, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and residual solvents.

  6. Step 4: Blending

Rosin is mixed with other key ingredients.

  7. P&B Test #3:

Blended content is tested for a third time, ensuring final consistency of cannabinoid content.

  8. Step 5: Filling

Vessels are filled with blended content.

  9. Certificate of Analysis

Finished product is certified by the State with a Certificate of Analysis.

Extraction versus Infusion

Extraction

Most companies use extraction methods such as CO2 supercritical extraction, which can strip the plant of essential and naturally occurring terpenes and certain phytocannabinoids. Our whole-plant infusion process captures the full cannabinoid profile and all cannabis phytonutrients and terpenes and allows us to use them in tandem with each other. Added bonus: the infusion process is completely solvent-free, meaning chemicals are never introduced.

Infusion

We’re so invested in making you a pure, wholesome product that we created our own full-spectrum infusion process. We use direct lipid infusion and various forms of mechanical separation to infuse our cannabis oil into every P&B product.
